LMX4 topical anaesthetic is:

- Lidocaine preparations are also commonly used by physicians and other health care professionals to numb the skin prior to performing minor surgery, insertion of IV lines
- Do not put L. M. X. 4 in your mouth, nose or inside the ear. Be careful not to get any in your eyes
- LMX4 is a new advanced fast acting topical anaesthetic that has an excellent safety profile. It is used to reduce the pain associated with medical needle procedures. It does this by numbing the skin within 30 minutes of application
- LMX4 Lidocaine 4% w/w Cream is a new advanced topical anaesthetic. It is used to numb the skin prior to a medical needle procedure, such as venipuncture, where “bloods” are taken from a patient or where a cannula or tube is placed into a vein (also called peripheral intravenous or IV lines) so that medicines and fluids can be administered, this procedure is called venous cannulation
- The need to numb the skin and reduce the pain associated with these and similar procedures is particularly important for children, their parents and the healthcare professionals caring for them
- LMX4 is fast acting, effective and has an excellent safety profile. It has been extensively researched with major studies conducted in children demonstrating its efficacy and safety
Ingredients:
- Active ingredient : Lidocaine 4% w/w
- Inactive ingredients :benzyl alcohol, carbomer 940, cholesterol, hydrogenated lecithin, polysorbate 80, propylene glycol, trolamine, vitamin E acetate, water
Warnings:
For external use only
Do not use
- in or near the eyes
- in large quantities, particularly over raw surfaces or blistered areas
Stop use and ask a doctor if:
- allergic reaction occurs
- condition worsens or does not improve within 7 days
- symptoms clear up and return within a few days
- redness, irritation, swelling, pain or other symptoms begin or increase
Keep out of reach of children
If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away
